Phosphorus

Inspired by a steampunk aesthetic, Phosphorus combines modern production techniques with the sounds of bells, typewriters, retro drum machines, and old-timey orchestra recordings to create a contemporary piece with a timeless, classic feel. This piece shifts on a dime between straight and swung grooves and features slick, bluesy lines and catchy melodies for a duo of Bb clarinet and bass clarinet.
